Research Development and Evaluation Commission serves as a staff unit of the Executive Yuan for policy research as well as being the competent authority for promoting research and development in each agency. Aiming to strengthen the policy planning and research capacity of this Commission, information is collected and analyzed on a regular basis to determine the research area where each agency needs improvement. At the same time, research carried out in developed countries and by international organizations is studied. Research areas where forward, interdisciplinary and important social policies required for mid- and long-term development in Taiwan appear deficient are posted at this website to solicit and commission research projects. Concrete suggestions derived from these projects are then provided to related competent authorities for reference. Data of completed researches as well as of projects in progress are open to query and may be downloaded by the general public to reinforce the theoretical foundation of government policies as well as to upgrade the research capacity of official agencies and to support government administration.
